On Wednesday 22nd October the championships preparations in Ji’an were on full swing while the FAI Controller Rainer (Exi) Hoenle, the Chief Judge, Jana Matejkinova and a number of judges and early bird participants arrived in Ji’an at Jinggangshan Airport.

The first meeting point is the helpdesk in the hotel lobby of Grand Skylight Hotel Ji’an. At the helpdesk some volunteers who can speak the language of the participating nations are always present and also the info board for transport and daily schedule is located there. In the afternoon a first visit on the dropzone at Tong Ping airport took place.

The Meet Director Ou Junwu and Niu Wen, the Deputy Director of Skydiving Department of Aero Sports Federation of China and ISC delegate showed the present ISC Officials all planned venues and some fine tuning about the dropzone and competition schedule was agreed. The teams could explore the city of Ji’an and prepare for the next 10 days (buy SIM cards, change money or just look around) before all met at the dinner in the hotel. During the competition the lunch will be prepared by the same hotel chef and be delivered to the dropzone.

The next day will be used for finalizing the dropzone setup and if the weather permits in the afternoon to have training jumps for the already present teams. The volunteers will continue to pick up all participants at the airport or train station.
