The 5th FAI European Junior Gliding Championships was hosted by the Kaunas Gliding Club at Pociūnai airfield, Lithuania between 11 July to 23 July 2021.
A total of 44 pilots aged under 25 took part, representing Lithuania, Finland, Poland, Denmark, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Germany and Great Britain.

The 3d FAI Paragliding Aerobatics Championships have launched on July 9, in the town of Trasaghis in Friuli Venezia Giulia in Italy. The event is organized by Aero Club Lega Piloti, Aero Club Blue Phoenix and Volo Libero Friuli ASD. Today was the official training day and July 11 to 16, 2021 will be the contest flying days. The prize-giving ceremony is planned for July 17, 2021.
June 19th was, indeed, a very sad day for Russian Skydiving as a tragic aircraft accident occurred at the Tanay Drop Zone on that day, and four lives were lost. The FAI and IPC wish to extend their heartfelt thoughts and condolences to everyone involved. The Mondial will go on as planned, and Bulletin 3 will be issued by July 1st, at the latest. On this day in 2016, Russian adventurer Fedor Konyukhov set a new FAI absolute world record for the fastest circumnavigation of the globe in a combined (hybrid) hot-air and helium gas balloon, after travelling almost 34,000km in 268 hours and 20 minutes.
