Yesterday, at the 2024 FAI F3F World Championship for Model Gliders, the weather conditions at the slope of St. Ferriol were ideal, and 6 full rounds of flying were completed. That means the competition is now on round 13, and with two more days of flying, more rounds will likely be added. The weather forecast for Friday is not so promising, but optimism remains.

The 2024 FAI F3F World Championship for Model Gliders, currently underway in Limoux, France, has embraced innovation with the introduction of a cutting-edge electronic event management system that enhances the organisation and control of the competition. This technology aims to improve efficiency and accuracy in event operations.

The 2024 FAI F3F World Championship for Model Gliders has officially begun in Limoux, France! This prestigious event, running until October 12, brings together 55 competitors from 19 countries to showcase their skills.

Up to 3 different slopes may be used, depending on wind direction.

Excitement builds as competitors from around the globe converge in Limoux, near Toulouse in southern France, for the upcoming 2024 FAI World Championship for Slope Soaring Model Aircraft. This event, scheduled to take place from 6 to 12 October and organised by the French Aeromodelling Federation, promises to be a thrilling display of skill, precision, and model glider engineering.

The 2024 Phoenix Drone Racing took place on 14-15 September 2024, in Prilep, North Macedonia. Organised by the Air Sports Association "Phil Phoenix" with support from the Aeronautical Federation and the Olympic Committee of North Macedonia, it was one of 14 competitions for the FAI Drone Racing World Cup.

Once they have taken off, free-flight models with compass steering can no longer be controlled. They are launched from a slope and, after leaving the pilot's hands, are at the mercy of nature and the elements.

The qualification rounds have been concluded at the 2024 FAI F5J European Championships for Electric Powered Thermal Duration Gliders in Deva, Romania. Fifteen rounds in both the senior and junior classes were completed by the 79 competitors.

The top 14 pilots from the 63 seniors, and the top 6 from the 16 juniors are now battling through the final rounds to reach one of the prestigious spots on the podium.
