2025 International Helicopter Races in Poland showcases exceptional skill

Swiss helicopter crew Stefan Meier and Ruedi Boser topped the podium at the 2025 International Helicopter Races in Płock, Poland. 

Across the two challenging FAI Rotorcraft competition disciplines of Slalom and Fender Rigging, the Swiss pair showed immense skill to claim their gold medals in this Category 2 FAI event, held from 12-15 June.

FAI Celebrates its 120th Anniversary

Today, FAI, the World Air Sports Federation, proudly marks the 120th anniversary of its foundation.

Established in Paris, France on 14 October 1905 by eight visionary nations - Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the USA - the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) was created to promote the peaceful development of air sports, coordinate international cooperation and maintain official records of human flight achievements.

FAI General Conference 2025: See Finland's aeronautical heritage at the Finnish Aviation Museum

Located in Vantaa’s Aviapolis, next to Helsinki Airport, the Finnish Aviation Museum is Finland’s leading institution dedicated to aviation heritage. On Thursday 23 October, delegates at the 119th FAI General Conference will visit the museum for a presentation from its Director, Pia Illikainen, followed by buffet dinner, guided museum visit, simulator experience, and engagement with Finnish Aeronautical Association discipline committees.
