20th FAI European Hang Gliding Class 1 Championship and 8th FAI World Hang Gliding Class 5 Championship started in Krushevo Macedonia.

For the second time in this century hang gliding pilots enjoy the outstanding hospitality of Krushevo for their FAI Category 1. The event will be held from 08 Jul to 21 Jul 2018. 125 pilots from 26 nations take part in the championships. The opening ceremony was held in the centre of the town. Participants were greeted by the major Tome Hristoski, meet director Goran Dimiskovshki and FAI Jury President Mitch Shipley.

World’s best scale aeromodellers fly in for the 2018 FAI F4 World Championships for Scale Model Aircraft

If you’re near Meiringen in Switzerland over the next few days, look up and you might be treated to an incredible spectacle, as almost 100 highly skilled aeromodellers take to the skies above the scenic Haslital region for the 2018 FAI F4 World Championships for Scale Model Aircraft.

The competition, which is held every two years and attracts the best pilots and builders of scale aircraft from around the world, started this weekend and runs until July 14.

The 3rd FAI World Cup of Indoor Skydiving may not be due to take place until October, but the athletes and organisers participating in this exciting event are already hard at work - planning and training to wow the judges and give you an amazing show.

FAI Swoop Freestyle World Championships 2018: Calendar Announced

Following the highly successful inaugural Championships in 2017, two stages in the FAI Swoop Freestyle World Championships will take place this year.

Swoop - Freestyle Canopy Piloting - is a high-impact, adrenalin-fuelled discipline, involving parachutists flying at high-speed across a body of water (“the Pond”) to score points based on style and execution. 

To showcase this awe-inspiring spectator sport, the vibrant cities of Copenhagen (DEN) and San Diego (USA) will host the two international competition stages.

Drone Racing: What Makes a Good Venue?

The Beginner's Guide to Drone Racing

Drone racing has exploded in the last two years. With the launch of the FAI Drone Racing World Cup in 2016, and a packed season of more than 20 events this year, this exciting new FAI discipline is on the up.

June alone will see five World Cup events – Portugal, Paris and Cabourg in France, Germany and Slovakia – with a packed season to follow. The first FAI Drone Racing World Championships in China in November will provide a high-profile season finale.
